Most fun I've had playing a baseball game

I LOVE this game now. I've never seen such a great representation of baseball before this game. I've finally got the hang of pitching and my slider settings are getting very realistic results right now.

I've never seen a baseball videogame that gets so close to the real thing.

Last night I played a game where the umpire wasn't giving either pitcher ANY close calls behind the plate. This strike zone was so small you almost had to aim down the middle every time. I drew 4 walks on Kaz Ishii in 2 innings and knocked him out early because he couldn't get any calls!!

It's things like that that makes this game enjoyable. You're not gonna be able to pitch awesome every game or get 10 hits per game. Some games you have to go up to the plate and hack away, and some you have to recognize what the strike zone is and be patient.

I also love the fact that you don't get a hit every time you make solid contact and now I'm starting to see even more off line throws. It's a great feeling to challenge a poor throwing outfielder and make him throw off the mark.

WHAT A GREAT GAME, IM BELOW .500 AND IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME.

This is easily the best sports simulation video game ever. Next year, some bug exterminating, and this game will be perfect.

Hopefully they will have better "hit ball" sounds and feel. "Feels" the same whether you hit a routine fly or a blast. Also would like the pick-off attempts toned down and finally hope they beef up the graphics. Same graphics next year wil;l be inexcusable IMO.

I know what you mean. That how I felt when I first played it. After playing it some more, I've come to appreciate it because it adds to the drama of seeing if you got all of the pitch or not. You kinda know when it gets near the outfield area. They do need to put some work into it for next year though.

I honestly feel that if 3DO continues to improve the graphics and updates the rosters every year and keeps the gameplay the way it is now, they will have made the best simulation baseball game ever. That's how realistic I think this game is.

I too am enthralled with this game. I just finished a great game playing the Indians vs the Angels.. The game was a pitching duel that wasn't decided until the bottom of the 9th inning. Into the 9th inning Washburn had a 7H shutout going.. The score was 1-0.. Troy Percival came in to close the game.. Down 1-0 the Indians come to bat. Here is the play by play:
V.Martinez walks (milton Bradley comes in to pinch run)
K.Garcia sacrifice bunts Bradley to 2B (1 out)
O.Vizquel singles on 1-2 count scoring Bradley (Game tied)
                            B.Phillips sacrifice Vizquel to 2B (2 outs)
                            K.Lofton walks (2 out, 2 on game tied 1-1)
M.Lawton rips a 2-2 single scoring Vizquel ending the Indians 2 game losing streak.
                            Final Score
                            Anaheim 1R 8H 0E
                            Cleveland 2R 9H 0E

                            Anaheim pitching
                            J.Washburn 8IP 7H 0ER 1BB 6k 0HR
                            T.Percival 2/3IP 2H 2ER 2BB 0K 0HR

                            Cleveland pitching
                            CC Sabathia 8IP 7H 1ER 1BB 4K 0HR
                            M.Wohlers 1IP 1H 0ER 0BB 0K 0HR

How is that for realism? My Indians have a record of 13-14 and I am loving every mediocre minute of it. So far my record vs other teams is:
                            6-0 vs Orioles
                            2-5 vs KC
                            2-5 vs Chisox
                            1-2 vs seattle
                            1-2 vs Oak
                            1-0 vs Anaheim.
