    player attributes

Has anyone noticed if the attributes are in the ball park? ie. are there any that are flat out wrong. I'm assuming they are based on last years stats and not their career stats. Has anyone looked into this? Also defense- I noticed Griffey Jr had a D (i think) on defensive range. I thought he was one of the better defensive centerfielders...

        That seems realistic.
There's no way to get every player's attributes 100% correct, that's why there is a player editor part.

OK. Even a C+ is low, isn't it. He is very fast and covers a lot of ground. Unless they are rating him based on last year when he had a bad hamstring. What about other players? I haven't really looked into it that much.

Range does not equal speed. I'm not sure how to put it into words, but range and speed are two different things. The way I look at it, all the attributes equal out in the end....you may have one guy slightly underrated in an area, but another guy is overrated in a specific area. It all works out in the end....but hey, you spent your 50 bucks on the game, do with it what you want. I personally, don't mess with other player's ratings, I let the game makers handle that...and I'll handle any created player's attributes.

I agree- but a completely different attitude than the basketball games. If you look in those forums, you'll see people posting attribute changes left and right.

Another thing....players get hot, they have great years, one time wonder types...then they fall off again. Your season will have those...I try to let my franchise take a life of its own...just because a player on the Rangers is having a great year doesn't mean I need to goto the game and change his attributes to make it like the real life Rangers...I'll have a guy have a break out year....let the franchise take on life of its own, don't mirror it after the real big leagues....but then again, just my opinion, and when you spend 50 bucks, your entitled to yours.
