This is always the saddest day of the year
I know the playoffs are starting and I do love them, but I always hate that the season is over. I love that from April to the end of September baseball is there almost everyday. Whenever it ends, it's always a sad feeling (especially if your team isn't moving on). 139 days to go until pitchers and catchers report!"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyTags: None -

After the playoffs...I start counting down the days until the Hot Stove league. After the playoffs...I'm gonna restart my blog about where i think some key free agents wind up.
So don't feel too bad...once the final champagne is uncorked and the fans empty...we start the build up to 2009. -

I love it. And I'm a winter fan BY FAR.
In fact, baseball is the main one of only two or three reasons I could even stand summer.Comment

Re: This is always the saddest day of the year
That is an awesome quote. I feel like that is what I end up doing...I even DVR games during the regular season and end up watching them over during the winter. I enjoy football/basketball, but there is nothing like baseball."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. Re: This is always the saddest day of the year
Meh, while I really like and enjoy baseball, this day means NHL, NBA and NCAA season is just around the corner and NFL and College Foots is starting to heat up with plenty of action left.
Maybe I'd be a bit more sad if the Jays made the playoffs.Comment

I'll bump this as it's always true imo. At least this year my team continues on into the post-season, but I just miss the routine of the baseball season.
I'll repost Hornsby's quote:
"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
