Why do the NL series both feature 3-man booths but not the AL?

Man, I never get to listen to Buck anymore! He was a staple on Canadian TV during the Blue Jays' heyday, and I've worked with him before (and Harold, both super-nice guys with no trace of "I'm better than you" attitude), so that's cool. Looking forward to it.

I'm also curious as to how big Tony Gwynn is these days.

Chip Carey infuriates me. All he does is suck on the big market teams dick.

The Phillies Brewers series is an interesting one.

I think Brian Anderson is a decent enough announcer, but I can't believe they couldn't find a non-biased play-by-play guy for a playoff series.

Not looking forward to Caray/Martinez on the Sox/Angels series

Orsillo and Reynolds on the Rays/TBD series isn't bad.

Man I love listening to Buck Martinez he's a million times better then Pat Tabler who does the majority of Jays games nowadays.

It'll be interesting to see how Smoltz does in the booth.

Never heard Tabler so i can't compare.

I do wonder though, is it too soon to petition Fox to not use Buck and McCarver for the NLCS and the World Series?.

See? I knew we'd agree on something.

Buck rules. I gotta run, but when I get the chance I'll tell you about the time I won a bet with Buck concerning Hostess Ding Dongs...

The few times that I've heard John Smoltz's announce on the Braves' stations he did a good job. I like Joe Simpson, too.

The Orsillo/Reynolds and Anderson/Simpson/Smoltz crews looks like they'll be the best. Buck will be good, but Caray is unbearable to listen to and the Stockton/Darling/Gwynn crew sounds like it is going to be awful.

I'm really impressed with Reynolds...he actually has some insights and observations that are unique...and he delivers them in a casual and entertaining manner...

I hated Reynolds at first but he's grown on me. He delivers his commentary with a casual conversational tone that's easy to digest. I still think he talks too much about inane things like how a base hit was a turf hit and scoffing at the notion that hitters were looking for fastballs etc etc.

As for Buck Martinez...Um I take back my comments about him. He has completely fallen off the table. It's as if all the grey hair he has now has made him stupid and senile.
