    MLB Playoffs Simulated (MVP08 mod)

    This thread will feature games simulated using the great MVP08 mod, KG's 6.2 rosters and show box scores using the Extractor tool. Thanks to all those at mvpmods and eamods for making this possible. Teams are both set to all-star level with cpu v. cpu sliders that attempt to simulate pitchers and hitters as best as possible.

    NLDS ** Brewers @ Phillies Gm 1

    Cole Hamels was charged with 8 earned runs and was chased in the 4th inning as the Brew Crew stunned the Phillies 8 - 5, taking home field advantage away from the East division champions. Rickie Weeks went 2 for 3 including a 2 run HR in the top of the 5th after Jason Kendall doubled. Ryan Howard also homered for the Phils in the bottom of the same inning with 2 men on. The Phillies attempted to rally in the bottom of the 7th when Howard doubled and came home on a Pat Burrell single, though stranded 2 runners. Cory Hart and Jason Kendall brought in 2 runs each which included a Hart triple in the top of the 4th. Salomon Torres got the save in the 9th retiring the Phillies in order.

              Los Angeles Dodgers @ Chicago Cubs GM #1

              The Dodgers took an 8-1 lead into the bottom of the 7th inning, thanks in part to a Manny Ramirez 5th inning grand slam, bidding to ruin home field advantage for Chicago and sending Cubs starter Ryan Dempster to the showers early. Los Angeles padded their 5 run lead by adding 2 runs in the top of the 7th with a Ramirez double, Russell Martin triple and Matt Kemp sacrifice. However, the Cubs would not go silently. In that same frame, Mike DeRosa doubled, Jim Edmonds walked and Geovany Soto singled loading the bases on starter Derek Lowe who then walked Cedeno and Soriano, ending his day. Dodgers reliever Scott Proctor registered two consecutive K's, but could not get the most important out. Chicago's own brand of Ramirez smacked a grand slam of his own culminating in a 6 run Cubs 7th, closing the score to an 8-7 margin. After a Dodger 8th which only produced a lone base runner, Chicago put the icing on the cake with an 8th inning 3 run performance capped by a Ryan Theriot single scoring Soriano with the go ahead run. Soriano earlier doubled in Soto for the tying run. Lee's single brought in Theriot to give the Cubs the 2 run cushion. The Dodgers never threatened in the top of 9 as closer Kerry Wood got Russell Martin to hit into a game ending double play.

                      Rough start for the simulation, looks like it'll be 0-2 for the Game 1's with the Sox/Angels to play

                              Awww man... I was interested. Though you scimped on the color in the LA/CHC series.
