But can you guys tell me if this flaw is true http://forums.operationsports.com//u...o=&fpart=1 and if you guys tried this in All Star level of the xbox version of MVP, did the CPU scored plenty of runs, hits and homeruns against you. because this flaw is the reason am starting to hate this game. Because this game is to much fun to let go b/c i hate wsb 2k3 b/c of the skinny player models and high heat graphics are dull, asb this year is not my taste. Am stuck with this game and in my opinion is way better than the rest of the baseball games out this year. Big fan of eA Sports games eversince Triple Play 97. Cant wait till next year MVP

Being a long time Ea Sports fan, its needless to say that this year EA Sports title it by far the wrost i played "nuff...said". I played this game for 2 weeks now and i was fustrated with the outfield. the catcher doesn't tag the baserunners. the pitching flaw throwing with less power results in the CPU getting less hits and runs, and also when throwing 4 seam fastballs down the missle with no power (not holding the pitch button) but great accuracy the CPU doesn't hit or score often.
My opinion is that this game is not realistic. So what opinion you guys have on this game and the problems that i mentioned.

1. As far as the outfielders are concerned, If you rifle a ball from the outfield with an avg outfielder, the ball will not be on target. Matter of fact, when throwing the ball at normal strength about 200 to 300ft, your not always going to be that accurate.

2. Tags - press the base the runner is coming from, and your fielder will make the tag(I didnt believe it at first, but it worked, and thats all the proof i needed.)

3. This "Flaw" that like 2 people have mentioned is 1. Most likely not real. 2. WTF would play like that. Just because there is an AI flaw, why would you consistently use it?

I own HH, MVP, WSB, and enjoy all three games. They are all good games, and they all have flaws. Its a game, its not perfect, and never will be.

Blaise, when you say press the base, do you mean with the d-pad like when you are on offense controlling your runner, or do you mean push the analog stick towards the base they are coming from?

First, the so called flaw is mostly bogus. Besides, games can usually code against errors made when the game is played properly. It's very hard to protect against blatant misuse.

Secondly, I advise you to check out this book. It will greatly help those reading your posts.

I didn't like MVP because I thought it was too arcadey. That being said, I think the crowd noise, plyer faces and pitch meter make it a fun game, if you are looking for one on one play. If against the CPU, forget it. The AI makes too many bad managerial decisions (removing pitchers too early). Just my take.

Thats the exact same feeling I have for the game. I played a game yesterday against a friend and it was too fun. No deep counts, swung at mostly the first pitch all game, but it sure was fun tho.

I did'nt wanna post my impressions on the game cause ppl would of thought I was trolling or something, so I keep my thoughts to myself. Better safe than sorry.

I think any baseball game can be too arcadey(if thats a word? arcadish maybe, anyway). If you always swing at the first pitch, you can turn HH into an arcade-type game.

Personally, Ive learned from playing people, that swinging at the first pitch in any game, is a sure fire way to defeat. I choose to wait for pitches, and it makes a better experience for me.

While MVP isnt the end all of baseball games, its a very good and solid title, and should be treated as such, despite any flaws that may appear.

Because, every game has flaws, every last stinking one of them. But, the developers work so hard, I can overlook minor flaws and work around them
