yeah you could quit complaning and take the game back...the league leader with around 6 games left in the season is a-rod with 43 .

Strange. One time after a crappy game where I had 8 or 9 strikeouts in the first 4 innings I quit and took some BP. After about 10 min of normal I flipped to classic and hit I would say 3 out of 10 balls out of the park. Maybe its just me. I wish it wasn't so because I'd rather use classic.

24 homers from them... hmm... what am I complaining about!?

In my post I said I wasn't trying to complain. Just the simple fact almost everyone on here told me before I bought it, the game was realistic. And took several games before you got homeruns. It does seem a little more realistic then last years though. But using Classic Cursor is getting me less HR's then with Normal. Most of these HR's were hit with normal mode on and at All Star level. It's easy to use cursor hitting when you've been playing ASB since the N64 versions were released.

You must not have seen the Mariners when they played at the Kingdome and their 2-5 hitters consisted of ARod,Griffey,Buhner and Edgar Martinez.

2 things:

1. It may be the team you are using. I have two franchises, one with the seattle mariners and one with the new york yankees. On both I play on all-star, normal cursor, and exagarrated pitching. I've noticed that with the Yankees I have no problem hitting homeruns. I just tilt the cursor to pull with left handed hitters and same with RHers. The two games I 've played in this season against the MN Twins, I've hit 6 homeruns in each game. Giambi, Ventura, Williams, Soriano, and even Ziele had one.

2. On the flip side, I've played 24 games with my seattle mariners franchise (mostly same settings) and I have hit 11 home runs total! I have as many triples as I do homeruns and I have 4 times as many doubles as homeruns. It may be the team you play with, or the stadium because I can't hit a jack for the life of me with the mariners. Half of the HR's I do have with them happened when I tried out the classic cursor.

In conclusion: play with the Detroit tigers on all-star normal cursor and I guarantee that you won't have 23 HR's in 8 games

I'm playing on Expansion. My homerun hitters aren't really homerun hitters. Mainly they are Ron Gant, Reggie Sanders, and Benito Santiago. One thing I've done is scale back their hitting attributes, this seems to make it more challenging.
