The computer will send the runner once in a while but not too often

that's the way i play.(automated running) and the cpu does not send the runner very often, well let's just say they send them rarely. Last year's version automated running sent the runners more. i miss that. i'd control the running but then i woud have to slow down the game from fast to slow. so i could leadoff effectively, send runners and guess pitches. so i just play a very non aggressive game of baseball by default.

In the PC version of 2002 and 2003 you could press a button to attempt a steal... I think they have removed it for this version.
