I've hit 1 so far using contact and a few using power swing so yeah it's more rare but it happens. I've ntot seen any broken bats tho...

I've now had 3 broken bats. I've seen the replay for them... a lot better than ASB and MVP. One was a chopper, one was a 20ft bloop to the right of the pitcher's mound (who eventually caught it), and the third was just a slow roller to first.

I've had a few of contact homers... and I've also sometimes seen them be cut-scene homers.

I didn't even know there were broken bats in the game. Are they noticable? Could I have missed one?

I've never hit a HR with contact. It's either a line drive or bloop hit on contact swing. I've gotten close, but all my HR's so far has been on power swings.

I see broken bats sometimes. Maybe once every couple series, it makes a real soft sound though, you can't really hear it good.

In my Tampa Bay franchise I took Tim Wakefield yard with Canizaro with contact swing... and it was over the big green monster, at that.
