Re: Has anyone actually thrown anyone out?
I've gunned a few runners down at third and home. You really need to charge the balls with your outfielders. That extra split second sometimes can help you get the runner. It also helps to have to outfielder with strong throwing arms.
I hope that's what you meant.

Re: Has anyone actually thrown anyone out?
As far as runners stealing second, I have a 60% caught stealing. The trick is to throw over to first, especially if you are going to throw an offspeed pitch. The secret to throwing guys out at home and the other bases is the cut-off men, throw the ball to second hit the X button and your cutoff man gets it and fires it home. I have noticed though that most times the ball beats the runner, but the catcher is asleep and won't jump over and block the plate. I guess that's the CPU's way of saying that the catcher is bobbling the ball."A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon StroudComment
