    Interesting finding

    This is quite interesting ...
I play on timed hitting and I have been annoyed at the poor collision detection when hitting in that mode. It almost seems like the ball meets the bat instead of the other way around.
Anyway, I discovered something and I have proven it through the use of the cool instant replay system.
If you use the analog stick to aim your swing, your contact will be much more realistic. I don't think it really matters how you hit the ball, because it is all based on timing. I think the only thing using the analog stick does is make it LOOK more realistic.
It's almost exactly like High Heat, where you move the stick to where the ball is pitched.
    Has anyone else noticed this?

    So, it really IS zoned-hitting?

    Hmm... sweet.

I haven't noticed, but I'll try it out.

So, does it only "look realistic" or does it effect the path of the ball?

Me and a couple other guys here have been saying exactly that. To take it a step further, set your "Swing Feedback" to on in the "Team Options". Then just press the swing button without moving the analog stick. You will see that the feedback will tell you that you either "Swung over the ball" or under the ball, or inside the ball. Give it a try.
