    Splinters From The Pine

After digging himself out of the snow and skipping out last week, Shawn Drotar has written up this weeks Splinters From The Pine article. Make sure you give it a read.

"*** The games start Sunday, and as an American, to my fellow citizens, I ask only this: when you hear the “Star Spangled Banner” before the first pitch, please take a moment to reflect on our comrades in harm’s way, and no matter where you may personally stand regarding this unfortunate conflict, take the time to appreciate the fact that you live in a nation that enables you to speak your mind, and follow your heart – wherever that may lead. "

    Things to think about...

If the A's do win the WS, do u think there payroll would go up, and they could re-sign miggy? I mean, the Twins payroll went up $15million, after they made it to the ALCS.

Mad about Vlad: Where are the possibilities?
Baltimore? Got the $, and a Owner who wants Vlad.
    Yankees? No player is safe.
Expos? If they get someone to buy the team, the first thing they need to do, is resign the #2 player in baseball (1 = A-rod).
Rockies? I don't think they are interested, but is it just me, but wouldnt it be amazing to see this guy play in Colorado?
