Injuries, injuries, injuries... man am I banged up
Theres' been some discussion on injuries in WSB 2k3 here... is anyone as banged up as I am in their franchise... first I lost Royce Clayton for 80 days, then Geoff Jenkins goes down for 50... now Jeffrey Hammonds is out for 15 and my closer Mike DeJean is on the 15 day DL... the nice thing is that I brought up Bill Hall to fill for Clayton at SS (no one else would let me steal a SS through a trade) and he's performed quite well... I'm not complaining about the injuries, but WOW... I guess it is realistic (Jenkins is already on the 15 day DL this season and we haven't even started...) anyone else as banged up as my Brewers are in my franchise?

Nance...(As in Shane Nance?)
I've been hit by the injury bug as well. I'm the Angels in my franchise, and about 3 weeks in to my season. Tim Salmon tore up his knee catching a routine fly ball, out 65 days. Francisco Rodriguez's elbow almost fell off on a pitch, tearing up cartilage and is out 84 days. Adam Kennedy pulled his quad and is out 10 days.
In the interim, Eric Owens is getting more at-bats, but splitting time with Jeff DaVanon (who hit a grand slam and three-run shot in his first start). Gil and Chone Figgins are splitting time at 2B, and Brendan Donnelly has been slotted to setup man.
I think I've only won about 2 games out of 10 since I lost Salmon and K-Rod. Boys are taking it tough. We'll see how it goes.

Re: Injuries, injuries, injuries... man am I banged up
My Mariners are pretty banged up as well. Mike Cameron tore some cartledge in his elbow and is out for 80 days, Jamie Moyer is out for about 25 days (can't remember the injury), and Dan Wilson is out for 80 days with a broken ankle. I had to sign a backup OF to backup McLemore in left as i have put Winn in center. Davis is now my starting catcher and i have had to move Rafial Soriano into the rotation along with Garcia, Piniero, Meche, and Franklin. With all that being said, THIS GAME ROCKS!!!Comment

Re: Injuries, injuries, injuries... man am I banged up
I don't play anyone that is tired... the only one that was or could be considered even remotely tired would be DeJean... he had pitched in two straight games (that's a closers job)... I have been resting guys regularly (except Sexson)... they just got hurt just like the real BrewersComment

Re: Injuries, injuries, injuries... man am I banged up
I've only played 5 games with the Braves and I have one injury for 6 games, but my opponents are getting nailed by them. Montreal had 5 injuries in 3 games and Florida had 3 injuries in 2 games and let's face it, these teams can't afford to lose anyone."A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon StroudComment
