?!?!??!?!
ok, i have had this game for a week, and i love every detail about it. but today when i got home, i put the game in and it didnt work. (this is for the PS2 by the way). and so i clicked on "Browser" and it said "Disc Error". so i took the game out and looked at the bottom of it and there wasnt a piece of dust or scracth on the thing. keep in mind i just got it 2 weeks ago. so i thought "maybe its just the PS2". so i put in 3 different games in and they all worked. Should i go out and replace this game? or maybe i have just been over using it and wore it out and need to wait for it to cool off. i might play 3-4 games a night, i dont call that overusing it, but u never know. this game is only 2 weeks old and i have never had a problem with a disc this early. am i the only one that has had this problem? im not a PS2 expert, so any info yall give to me will be VERY helpful. Thank you.Tags: None -
Re: ?!?!??!?!
Well, i had a problem w/ this game and GTA: Vice City recently. Neither would load but some other games would. Like you said, there were no scratches. Here's how I fixed it but I take NO responsibility if you manage to screw up your system.
I figured my lens may be dirty so I took the cover off the system thus exposing the laser lens. Following the advice I got on some web page I cleaned it. I took a qtip and some rubbing alcohol. I got one end of the qtip wet and sort of let it drip until it was wet but not dripping. Then I took the wet end and rubbed the lens, gently but firmly, in a circular motion. Then I took the dry end and used the same technique to dry it. Now my games always boot straigt to the game and I haven't had to go to the browser screen since.
It's a bit risky (not too risky though) and it may work for you but if you mess something up it's not my fault. Good Luck... -

Re: ?!?!??!?!
Or, you could just go buy a laser lens cd cleaner...they work great, and I have never had a problem, I use to use one about every month or so...but I can't find mine now...so I'm gonna go buy one tonight, and clean mine again...I only play two games...ASB and madden...but I play the heck out of 'em.

Re: ?!?!??!?!
I have several games that do that. You can take the game back, that usually helps. Or buy a cleaner. I did but didn't help that much. The solution that usually helps me the most is to turn the PS2 vertically (since I leave mine horizontal) then turn on the system. Once it works then I put it back the way I had it. That's my 2 cents.Comment
