    asked before

ok i just got done playing a game in my franchise. i'm not sure what type of hitting interface i have or any of that. i just play. the only options i turn off are the coach help and jeter tips. ok here's the problem. when i go to move my cursor for a power hit, the triangle thing so you get more lift on the ball is what i'm talking about. i move it but the computer moves it right back. now when i have torii hunter up i don't want to hit a ground ball all the time. i'm a hit and run hitter. so i usually try to hit the gap. how am i supposed to hit a gap when the computer has the cursor positioned so that i'll hit a flipping ground ball all the time. i've tried many times to figure this out but i'm at a loss now. i don't know if the weather had any effect on this though. i was playing in the rain. but its happened to me before when i was playing in spring training and it was sunny out. i really don't like it when i have guys with great power coming up to bat with the bases loaded and they hit a ground ball with 2 outs.

i really need your guys' help. i'm beginning to lose my temper because this will happen like every 3 games or so and i don't like having to old the thing down so i'll hit a fly ball that can hit stealth bomber.

    any help would be great

    Thank You

    Re: asked before

Are you referring to it moving back to the center AFTER the pitch? If so that's normal.

But if you're referring to it moving back to center during the windup or delievery then join the club. I had it happen once and I wrote it off as a bad controller but maybe it's some weird glitch. Try changing controllers and see if that helps. When I switched mine out it didn't do that the rest of the game and I haven't seen it since.

I've also had (with the same controller) the cursor drift on me a bit but again I assumed it was a controller issue.

I think its a controller issue....also, do you have a dvd remote? If so, then is the gamma detector plugged into your ps2...I know for certain that messes lots of games up just having it plugged in. But I think, its gonna be either that or a controller problem, try unplugging it then plugging it back in, or buy another one.

nope. i don't use my ps2 for a dvd player at all. so i don't have a remote.

before i tried it where i'd hold the cursor one direction for awhile and it went back so i could control the cursor. i hate having that happen where i can't hit a power it in the air. instead its straight for the ground. i might try switching controllers. even though i don't know how good of shape the other one is. i have a temper so if something isn't going to good or what not, i tend to throw things. i think the controller was one of them.

to my surprise the other controller fixed the problem. i didn't throw the controller over ASB. it was playing tiger woods. the darn thing froze on me so i threw the controller to the ground and now the game doesn't work.
