Player Loyalty Question

I am playing my franchise with the A's and I am noticing that my player loyalty ratings for some of my players are going down to like C- and lower How can I stop the slide and bring them back up? I try giving my stars time off, but if anyone else can help, that would be great.

I believe there's a slider for your team's manager that directly affects the player loyalty rating. It might be the time off slider. I don’t know if giving guys time off manually has the same effect, so maybe try bumping up the time off slider under the manager and watch the +/- scale to the right. It should move up to the right a few notches and then starting increasing your players' loyalty to you. If they start getting too many days off automatically, you can always plug regulars back in on the lineup page before the game starts. I think you access the manager's sliders through the general managers menu, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

There are other factors too. Such as if you have a winning team or not, or if you continually try to trade a guy. (it must keep track of who's on the block when you press start for a trade offer!) and some other things I can't remember right now!

This loyalty thing is pretty cool though. I picked up Hank Blalock in a trade at beginning of season. He has one year left on contract. I went to resign him, and I guess he thought he got low balled. Well I tried to sign him 3 times, and after he rejected all offers....he refused to talk to me anymore. So before he could play one game with me, I had to trade him.

Thanks guys - I've made the changes in the manager section and we'll see how it goes. I also think the loyalty element is cool It adds a lot more strategy to the game....

In regards to that slider, I would imagine that the ratings of your manager impact how much positive loyalty change that slider will result in.
