    Some Interesting Occurrences

I like All Star, but I would have liked to see them improve a little more on the field. Here are a few quirks so far. Some are funny.
    * Batting with a lefty at Tiger Stadium, I hit one off the roof in right field. There was no cut-scene and it was ruled a ground ruled double
    * Ball popped up foul, drifting over heading in the dugout when I jump with my catcher and make the catch. After replay, the ball actually bounced off the bench in the dugout and proceeded to move horizontally towards my catcher hitting him in the %$##@ then bouncing to his glove.
    * Pitched a 4 hit shutout on the allstar level throwing nothing but fastballs down the middle with.................the Detroit Tigers.
    * At times the ball disapears in the hill at Crosley Field.
    * Runner on first with two outs. Ball hit to the (CPU) second basemens right placing him about 10 feet (estimated) from the first basemen. The second basemen turns and throws back towards second and the runner beat the throw by a mile.
    * Had my right fielder run up to a ball rolling slowly towards him on the ground stop about 10 feet away from the ball only to have the ball roll between his legs while he is in the squatting/croughing position. I looked several times at the replay and the ball did in deed go directly between his legs to roll all the way to the wall. The fielding animation never was triggered I guess.
    * Ball hit in the gap in right center. I go into third with a stand up triple. The ball is cut off by the shortstop who then proceeds into the idle infielder animtion. I send my the runner from third home, the shortstop stays in the idle infielder animation untill I'm half way home and then throws the ball....safe for an inside the park homerun.

Some of those are fixable problems by you. If you find a problem where the cpu goes into the relaxed position, then don't run home, it's you option to take advantage of this and when you do, don't come on here and bitch about it. Also, you shouldn't just throw fastballs up the middle, sounds like you have a bit too much time on your hands.

Why bash the guy? He was simply making statements of some of the game quirks. Lighten up.

I'm not bashing him at all, I was just pointing out to him that he needs to use his own judgement when the cpu goes into the relaxed mode. He knows that if the cutoff man has the ball at the edge of the infield in a real game that the runner on third is not going to break for home. He needs to use the same restraint and not do this in the game. It just twists me the wrong way when guys have problems when they pitch the ball down the middle of the plate everypitch or they take advantage of the ai and it ruins there game. Just play the game and quit LOOKING for mistakes and have a good time.

Hey jubjub, what part of "I like All Star" did you not understand? Some of these things crack me up when I see them. I can appreciate the way you play the game with restaint. That is the way I play. These things happen when Im just messing around with the game. They are fixable, thats why they crack me up. I was just curious if some of these things or things like them happen to any one else like the ground ruled double off the roof in Tiger Stadium. No offense intended. Happy gaming. I forgot one, fastballs slow down at times and hang over home plate before certain swings. This isn't something Im looking to criticize. Its just fun to look at on the replay.

Hey dude, like I said, I wasn't trying to jump on you or anything. I just see so many posts that sometimes they trigger me and I'm just out of control. Stay Hard

I almost always pop those up, which is cool. It lowers K totals.

Hey, today in a game Larry jones hit a liner back at the pitcher that hit the rubber and went flying straight back up over the plate and into the stands. Then they called it a foul.
