Why do some pitchers take forever to throw a pitch

I understand the need for realistic looking stances and pitchin animations but when it slows down the pace of play it's a problem.

I was playing a series again the mets and Tom Glavine has to go throw a stupid animation sequence that just slows the pace of the game down. Yes this is somewhat realistic because Glavine is known to slow down a game to a crawl but in a video game it's really not neccessary.

well that harkens back to realism. if it wasn't done in the game how it is in real life then ppl would be complaining about that. so really it's just a no-win situation for sega. i don't think it's really that big of a deal but i know what you mean.

That's why Tom Glavine does that in real life. He knows he can frustrate hitters by making them impatient. That's really cool that is in the game if you ask me even though I can't keep my patience at all. I am up there flailing away like Jeffrey Leonard on every pitch.

That's why Tom Glavine does that in real life. He knows he can frustrate hitters by making them impatient. That's really cool that is in the game if you ask me even though I can't keep my patience at all. I am up there flailing away like Jeffrey Leonard on every pitch.

There's realism for the sake of realism then there's realism that just silly.

this is silly. Sure they do it in real life but I didn't by my game so Tom Glavine can slow it down.

Good thing Juan Guzman isn't in the game, Any one remember him? He played for the Jays and Devil Rays, Every time a runners on base it took him forever to pitch the ball, He look like a deer caught in head lights.
