    just had an incredible game

    this game is amazing.

just played an exhibition game with my sliders (trying to test them out thoroughly before i start my franchise).

astros at yankees. oswalt vs. clemens.

this was a classic pitcher's duel. the two pitchers matched each other for nine scoreless innings. their stats were very similar. through nine innings, clemens had scattered 11 hits and let up no earned runs. struck out 11, walked 2. oswalt's line was only two hits allowed, no earned runs, 9 strikeouts and also two walks.

in the top of the tenth i loaded the bases for jeff bagwell, but he popped up to end the threat. in the bottom of the tenth, a tired oswalt hung a curveball that was supposed to be a ball over the plate to giambi, who hit it out of the park into the right field bleachers. the count was 2-2.

i lost 1-0 but man what a game!

exciting as hell. the pitch counts were spot on because of the foul ball slider. i left 16 guys on base! clemens seemed to get big outs/double plays when he needed them.

    final box score:
    houston 0 11 0
    yanks 1 3 0

my sliders are working out nice. i love this game!

mvp (might move up to hof soon, hh vet).

        tuning --
        cpu running -1
        human running speed -1
        cpu catcher throwing speed -1
        human catcher throwing speed -1
        error frequency +3
        injury frequency +3
        foul balls +2

for visiting team and home team --
        batting camera: low
        action camera: off
        controller vibration: on

        game options --
        game pace: fastest
        guess pitch: off
        batter walk up: off
        pitcher warm up: on
        variable umpire: on
simulation: +5 (that's from default; in other words, i maxed it out)

oh, and i maxed out the sound effects and crowd sliders on the volume menu.

i am partly typing this so i know what to do when i trade the ps2 version i have now for the gcn version when it comes out. i think i like these settings for the time being. if you have any questions about why i chose a certain setting ask away. i am getting nice results, though the game plays great out of the box.

[edit] - the stuff i listed is the changes i made. everything else, obviously, should be kept at default.
