Interesting find on the sega board regarding human pitching...

Someone has to read this and try this out...but here is the exact quotes:

    1. " there are only 9 pitches but thats all they could to. when u move the analog stick in the direction u need for that pitch it only goes in 9 places. there are knuckle curves(mussina) and circle chaneups. not to mention 2 and 4 seam fastballs. but they could have to push the right analog stick and go left or right for the circle changeup and knuckle curve"

    2. (the reply) "BINGO!!
I see someones been doing their homework!
You have well over 20 different types of pitches and combinations at your disposal....depending on the pitcher and how good you are at moving the analog stick and putting some extra zip on your pitches! Which happens to be another feature you wont find in the manual..! Mussina's knuckle curve, Conlon's 4-seam fastball, Rivera's cutter and Pedro's circle change are all there fellas there just not labeled!"

Basically, they were talking about different pitches that one can throw apart from their repetiore of pitches depending on the player as well. This is not stated in the manual, but apparently it's in the game. If someone can try this out with Mussina that would be helpful. I'd try it, but I only play the game on Tuesdays and the weekends.

Most of what he says isn't true. You can get a pitch to move a little faster by holding down the A button, but that's it (it uses a little bit of extra stamina, like 1.5x normal). There was a hidden "guess pitch" functionality in WSB2K2 (right trigger), but that's been gone for a while now.

hey, Fatpitcher, were you able to get the game to let you bat while in pitcher cam, like others have? and if so, how? thx.

Other people on this board have looked at that way more than I have, so you'd get a better answer out of them. In the meantime, next year's game is getting made
