Kennedy asked for a trade in August when the Cards re-signed Felipe Lopez, but the market would require the Redbirds to eat some of Kennedy's $4 million. That is something they are not willing to do. "I have no problem going back there at all," Kennedy said Sunday. "Them bringing in a third party (Lopez) last season just emphasized a lack of confidence in me. I have no problem going back if it's to play... It just seems like the confidence has not been there on their part."

Why the hell would they have any confidence in you? You're a 31 year old who hit .219 with a .572 OPS in 87 games for St Louis in 2007. You had a .321 OBP and had 7 steals in 115 games for St. Louis this year! Why on Earth wouldn't they look to replace you?
Confidence? Give it up, Kennedy. It's time to sit the bench. And hopefully that's never in a managerial position because you clearly don't understand the difference between production and past success. It's amazing how people can act when getting $4 million a year. Be happy you aren't watching the games from home and accept your paychecks.
