Some decent players to be had on this list.
Kind surprising that the Orioles have parted ways with Cabrera but i guess 5 years was long enough to decide that he will never be a staff ace, at least not in Baltimore.

I was going to say the exact same thing about Daniel Cabrera. The Orioles have been so high on seeing him become a superstar... but he just can't put it all together. It will be interesting to see: 1. Where he goes and 2. How he progresses.

The severing of ties with Cabrera was long overdue. He's just not mature enough mentally to be a successful pitcher. Not only that, but his fastball has gone from 99-100 MPH in 2006 to 92-93 MPH now.

It sucks to see. I remember back in 2005 I was convinced that he and Bedard were going to be the anchors to the rotation for years to come, but unfortunately Bedard was the only one to fulfill his potential.

I would love for the Dodgers to get Cabrera for cheap, I think he would be a nice 4 or 5 guy.

Be prepared for some entertaining at bats. He rarely moves the bat when he's at the plate. I believe he has only swung at a few pitches. And yeah, he strikes out a lot.

Hopefully Cabrera gets signed to some NL team, because I am tired of him somehow dominating the Yankees while every other team makes him look like a mediocre pitcher.

I'm surprised the Astros let Wigginton go. Whoever signs him will have made a good move because he is one of the more underrated players in the league.

cabrerra could be another reclamation project for the cardinals.

Could happen. It's doubtfull that Wigginton will demand a three year deal like Casey Blake and will come a lot cheaper than Joe Crede. Plus versatility was the main reason the Twins targeted Blake, Wigginton can play the same positions as Blake as well as 2B.
The Astros say they would like to re-sign Wigginton at lower rate but i don't think they realize how much demand there could be for him.

I really hope this happens. A couple years ago I felt they made a big mistake by not getting him at the trade deadline. He would provide the perfect option of price, versatility and power to the lineup, not to mention that the Twins would not need to give up one of our young arms to get a nice 3B. Plus, it would give Danny Valencia time to develop more.

I think this is pretty much spot on.
