What makes a pitch go faster?

The title says it all. I wonder how can this be accomplished. I thought that the more you hold the A button (xbox) the faster it goes. Is this correct?

Also, is there a way with Timed Hitting to be able to hit grounders or flyballs at will? Can you direct where the ball is hit?? At least, is there a way to increase your chances to accomplish these things? I remember in the Triple Play series you could increase your chances of hitting a ground ball or a flyball at the direction you wanted.

Yes, it's true. I stupidly never realized this until I saw a post about it. Armas usually throws around 90, but when I kept the button pressed, it got as high as 93 or so.... but it greatly affected his accuracy! it's kinda cool. I heard it also takes 1.5 off your stamina over a regular pitch....

Turn up the pitch spped to very fast and hold down the A buttob while pitching the longer you hold down the faster speed you can get

Hitting/batting it depends on what pitch you hit sometimes bu usally you can controll where you hit the ball with the analog stick when you swing if you want it to goto left feild press left right feild press right grounders sometimes from pressing down and flys pressing up if your timeing is right thats what i have been experiencing
