    Where are CPU homeruns

I love everything about this game except the CPU hasn't hit one homerun off me in 5 games. I have turned everything off, so all my pitching is by feel, no strikezone, pitch cursor off, etc. Man they went from a homerun fest to a homerun drought.

Anybody not seeing CPU homers? If so how many games and how many homers (or lack of)?

I have played about 40 games and I have given up 1 maybe 2. I sim a bunch of games though and that has kept it rather realistic. So, they just need to tweak it in my opinion. It doesn't ruin the game for me.

I played 2 games vs. the GIants tonight in Pac Bell. In game 1 Oliver Perez gave up a McCovey Cove shot to Bonds, and Jose Cruz just missed on off the top of the fence.

In game 2 Aurillia and Bonds went back to back off of Jake Peavy. I am giving them up. Still not as much as I would like but I am definitely giving them up. I however am not afraid to go after their hotzones on occasion, as thats how I can get them to swing at my pitches alot of the time.

I tend to play pretty fast, and as a result my pitch selection isn't always the greatest and I give up a fairly realistic amount of home runs. Just last night my franchise Yankees (playing on all-star) got hammered by the Astros, and I gave up bombs to Kent, Berkman and Bagwell........it just kind of happens, I guess. I try to get a little extra on the pitch and miss the green, and there it goes.

i don't give up a lot of hrs in the early innings, but iin late innings, that a different story. leave my starter in too long, start missing the green amd i'm suprised clemens gone to the dl with whiplash yet from turning so quickly to watch balls leave the yard. i've given up four with him though five games. they came in bunches though. one in seveth of a game and then three the next game he pitched between the sixth and the seventh. seems pretty realistic.

yes, late innings with starters = home run city if you're not careful.....and sometimes even if you ARE careful.

I have also found with guys like Bonds it doesnt matter when. I threw him a great fastball in the 2nd inning last night. Wasn't a mistake pitch, it was a good pitch, and he still left the yard with it.

Same thing with Sosa. BY THE WAY - what's the deal with balls clearing the wall at wrigley but being called ground rule doubles?? Happened to me twice.
