The frontpage of Operationsports has a link to UGO's baseball reviews. Their MVP review is a joke.

2 high points. He said there is no checkswing, which is total BS. He also complains about the cursor disappearing when there is an option to turn it on in the menu.
Here is what I mailed to UGO(which I am sure noone will read)
"Your review of MVP 2003 had a few big flaws.
1. The spitching cursor fades after a few seconds. Yeah, and there is an option to turn it on all the time or off all the time also.
2. There is a checkswing. It is easy to do if you don't just mash the button.
3. Personal Opinion Follows: The pitching interface is a lot more interesting than just picking exactly where you want to throw the ball and having it go there. At least there is a modicum of skill needed to pitch successfully.
4. Did you even try to change the fielders depth and/or settings? Leave them in the default position and you will get screwed, but if you actually try to manage a game, you will get better results.
My only real problem with your review is it seems you didn't even really look into the games options. You booted it up, played it for a few minutes(maybe an hour tops), concluded it was Triple Play Redux and then turned it off.
Actually putting NO in bold on the checkswing comment when you can checkswing was one thing, but complaining about the cursor when there is an option to turn it on all the time is just lame.
If you want to review them, try to really play them."
Just wanted to share.
