    No Roster Transactions in Season?

I recently started a season because I figured that I could make transactions for all teams throughout the season. Nope, you can only make transactions for the team you control for the season.

This kind of pisses me off because I like to keep rosters updated throughout my season as they change throughout the real season. EA should definitely change this for next season. Maybe have the CPU make their own transactions in franchise, while allowing us to make all transactions in season mode.

I'm the same way, but you can force trades. Let's say you are PIttsburgh. Let's say SD trades Gonzalez to Tampa Bay for Valentin. You need to trade Gonzalez to your team (I use one of my subs all the time, same guys so I can remember) and then trade Gonzalez to Tampa Bay for Valentin and THEN trade Valentin to SD for your guy. It's sort of a pain, but it works.

Good thought Jim. Although you can get around it like this, EA should still look into this. Why even have sepparate Franchise and Season modes if you can't trade for every team. Oh well.

The problem I'm having is why aren't there any free agents available early in the season. I check after every game and the only free-agents available are the dudes that I released. WTF!

i'd also suggest keeping an identical roster file seperate from your season, that way you can play around with it before you apply it to your season. for instance t.b. recently signed the 2b from detroit (can't recall his name) and he now starts. what i did was play around with my roster file to get it right. so first i signed the 2b and traded for their current 2b. then i looked for someone in their inactive list that they have cut and traded their 2b back to him and released the inactive player from my roster. now the new 2b starts and the other guy is inactive.

kt: lot of work, but if your as anal as i am about these things it works
