Eric Almonte hits a single, a home run and drives in 3 in his first game replacing Jeet. Trust me on this one folks, every team in the Majors will be jumping through hoops to trade for Almonte by the time Jeter is back in the line-up.

Yeah, I'm sure the team's happy that Erick Almonte was ready to play when called up. He went from being a good prospect to struggling in Triple-A and being demoted at one point to Double-A. He previously had only four at bats in the Majors in 2001. Let's see if he can keep it up. -

I'm eager to see if he keeps this up, and if he does, what'll be the yank fans reactions if Jeter may be the one getting offered around... highly unlikely, but ALWAYS an option.Comment

He sucks. He had 100 some strikeouts in the minors last year.Comment
