Hitting
I was just wondering if any of you had any good advice to help me be able to actually hit the ball. I think one of my main problems is getting use to having to hit with the analog sticks. I just wish i could move the cursor with the d-pad. I've tried timed hitting for two innings and i scored 5 runs on eight hits, so that's to easy and just not as enjoyable. I already am using large cursor and medium speed pitching. I've scored like 1 run and about five hits over 4 games so I really suck. I just tried power pro hitting for 4 innings before I went to bed a got one hit but it was a homer. I like power pro better, seems more real to life. So if anyone could please, pretty please give me some advice that would work i would deeply appreciate it.Tags: None -
Re: Hitting
I, too, had problems. Here's what I did: I started out on timed hitting on Rookie difficulty, when I was pounding the CPU on that, I went to Pro. When that became too easy, I began playing with the sliders (upping this, upping that, etc.)....after a while, that became too easy, either I got too many hits or the CPU did. When I made the transition to cursor hitting, I kept it on Pro but I used pitch preview and a large cursor and as I got the feel for it I made the cursor smaller. Once I did that, I played around with removing the pitch preview and slowing the CPU pitch speed in order to get used to reading the ball (I still have problems with this).
Right now, I play on Pro, with a small or very small cursor, fast pitch speed, and pitch preview on. I am getting more or less a realistic number of hits per game, although I am constantly playing with the slliders and such. My goal is to be able to play completely without the pitch preview without having to use the 'large' or 'medium' cursor.
NOTE: Even using pitch preview, I still K about 4 or 5 times per game (avg.) and my highest BA is .323 (with 2 weeks left in the season).
Hope this helps some. -
