Expos sweep the Braves!!
What a great way to start the season for Les Expos. The Braves are my other team, so it's not all good. But I feel great for the Expos. Looking to prove those silly SI predictions wrong.Tags: None -
Re: Expos sweep the Braves!!
The Braves are going to be in the toilet if their starting pitching doesn't come around. With Hampton and Byrd on the DL, it could pose a signifigant problem. The Braves have a history of starting out slow, and will most likely turn things around enough to be second to my PhilliesComment

Actually that's not so out of the question. It's been proven in the last 10 or so years of Expos history that when the team is doing well that attendance spikes up and they get good crowds. Last year and other years when the Expos were performing well the attendance was around 35-40 thousand.
In a way it's a blessing in disguise for the 'spos to be going on such a long road trip at the start of the season. If they continue this great play you may see some packed houses at the Big Owe. I wonder if it would be akin to Minnesota last year where there was contraction looming over their heads and the Twinkies made the playoffs while having great crowds.
I doubt it would happen tho. As I can't see any local buyer for the 'spos and it seems MLB is hellbent on bringing them to the DC area.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Expos sweep the Braves!!
Judging by this first half week, it looks like a sure lock for Expos vs. Royals in the series. Both teams looked dominating.
If that happens I will coat my pants in gold and send them to all my friends.Comment
