Re: Who else here is a Cubs fan?

Cubs fan since '88 (I was in Cuba for 6 months and got WGN and TBS....at the time I knew Atlanta sucked, so I watched the Cubbies....been hooked ever since). I am cautiously optimistic about this year. All of the pieces are there, can Dusty fit them all together? Wood pitched a beauty today.

Unfortunately I live in NY and have to settle for listening to the games via the radio broadcasts on the 'net (for 12$ a year). GO CUBBIES!!

I have been a Cubs fan since 1978,, lotta disappointing years,,, I like this years team, but the 84 Cubs is my favorite. I am a Ryne Sandburg fan and my wife is a big Jody Davis fan.

Damn, Jody Davis! You are bringing back some memories. Remember The Deer, Keith Moreland, The Sarge, Leon Durham, the Red Baron Sutcliffe. Why oh why did Lee Arthur have to give up the homerun to Steve Garvey. Up 2-0 and lose a best of five!!!!!!!!!!!

                  Cubs Fans...
                  I need a little help...
I'm trying to figure out a Cubs pitcher's name who pitched in the early 80s possibly with the Iowa minor league team. He might have pitched at the big league level, but I'm not sure. Anyhow, his career ended with him breaking his right arm. Also, I believe his first name starts with a K. I looked all over the internet but was unsuccessful. Any help would be great.

                  Thanks.

Yah Bobby Dernier was at a Cougars game last year (the one with the temperature being 108 degrees) My wife ran over and got his autograph and of course asked him if he kept in touch with Jody Davis.
