Beware of PS2 Freeze
I was playing Braves vs. Astros last night and the darn game froze up in the bottom of the 14th inning!! It was a scoreless game and I was biting my nails and then all of a sudden the game just locked up one me. I don't think this is going to be a regular occurence because there were a lot of strange things going on throughout the game. For instance, the Astos would pinch-hit for a guy then leave him in the player's position, i.e- Brian Hunter stayed in and played 2B. The organ music kept repeating and the heclers kept saying the same thing over and over. Also, it was in the bottom of the 14th and there had been a total of 5 hits. It's all for the best since in the 8th inning Chipper got injured so no harm no foul, I don't feel so bad b/c it was 0-0 and not 10-0 Astors, now I'll just replay it and hopefully break the freeze!"A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon StroudTags: None -

Re: Beware of PS2 Freeze
Also a lot of freezing and issues like that are caused by your PS2. A lot of people often blame games for issues that are caused by never cleaning the lens or clearing all that dust out of the front vent (old dry toothbrush is all you need, don't buy that compressed air nonsense) . Systems Usually freeze because they overheat due to lack of ventilation. Not saying this is your problem, just an option."We All Have Sizeable Scars"

Re: Beware of PS2 Freeze
Ive experienced the freeze too. Only twice in approx 50+ games of play. Once it occured very late in a 7-7 game. The next time i was looking at the post game box score. It doesnt happen very often, but it has happened to me. And my ps2 is less than a week old, i purchased it when i bought the game.
I guess well just have to put up with it. Anyhow, How bout them Vols!Comment

Re: Beware of PS2 Freeze
I also had the game freeze on me... It was in the 16th inning and it happened in the cut sequence of the batter walking to the plate. I didnt notice anything wrong with the sound of the crowd or organ anytime in that game, but its the only time it has happened to me in about 35 or 40 games.Comment
