I can usually get someone to chase high heat, but I can never get the batter to chase a low pitch out of the zone.

I did it once last night (for the first time), but it was for strike two.

Anyone having success throwing a splitter or somethin in the dirt?

    This worked in TP99...

i have a lot of success with curves (meter full) just below the zone (in the middle). good hitters don't usually bite, but the 6-9 hitters love it.

The most effective strikeout pitch is the high heater, just above the zone. If you use a full meter, even the best hitters will usually chase it.

A good curve, splitter, or sinker almost in the dirt will work too, but not quite as good as the high gas.

I have gotten quite a few whiffs with the changeup too, but hitters don't go after it if it isn't in the strike zone, so you run the risk of them jumping all over it if they time it right.

i agree with SportsorDeath, but it really pisses me off when they hit that high gas anyways!

I just struck out 12 guys on allstar with Prior by using a down and in curveball as my out pitch.

A low changeup or curve out of the zone sets up for the high heat out of the zone. It works 19 out of 20 times. Every once in awhile someone will somehow hit it and it makes no sense.

mix up the heat and the changeup or curve or slider -
that's what brings the best results.

in WSB. i like to set them up by throwing a lowand away curve out of the strike zone or change up.. and then bringing a fastball up and in... i dont know if that will work in MVP.. but it seems to work in WSB
