    no 'in between'

i play on Pro... Now my pitching is so clutch I haven't allowed a run in the past 4 playoff games. i'm winning like 1-0, 3-0... I cant seem to hit homruns on pro... its brutal.. but my pitching is amazing... zito had 10 k's in 7 innings, which is cool. I just wish both my hitting, and the computers hitting were a little better.

keep practicing, i'm hitting plenty of HRs on allstar, so it's doable.

you can definitely hot homeruns on pro. you just have to be patient and wait for you pitch. take pitches and get into some favorable counts. they go to three balls alot, but don't like to give up walks, so you know with three balls you almost always going to get something to hit. not only, but if you look at alot of pitches, you do see a lot of mistake pitches. as soon as you see that big red circle you aim up with a little pull, swing and circle 'em all.

I'm very patient at the plate, i'm not a crazy free swinger. I have Tejada and Chavez on my team... they can crank it. I can get hits, just nothing deep. (granted on rookie Tejada had 3 dingers in 5 at bats.. nar... what am I doing wrong)

do you , uh, hit your 'up' button to hit it in the air? or try to direct the ball as a pull?

I play on all star and my problem is pitching, I hit at least one HR a game but I give up like 20 hits.

when I have a big hitter at the plate, I "pre aim" i.e. hold the analog stick up and to the right (for a lefthanded hitter). And i wait for a pitch in the hot zones, or even better a mistake in the hot zones. I only use this tactic as long as there are no strikes on me (or maybe one), after that i just hit normally.
