What's up with this? I really suck at hitting on Pro, but on Legend I'm....

doing pretty well.

here's my scenario.

I started a Mets Franchise, and three games in, I'm 2-1, hitting pretty poorly. I play on PRO. EVERYTHING Left at Default PRO.

I quit my next game, and decide to just play an exhibtion game for practice. I plays the Cubs as my Mets again.

Kerry Wood is the pitcher, and I assume he's pretty good, due to his fastball speeds. I'm doing well in my 1st few innings on PRO.

I then decide to see how hard LEGEND is.

The only option, under team options, I change is the AI SLIDERS, from PRO to LEGEND.

Now, this next inning hitting, I get my bases loaded and screr 4 runs. I'm hitting everything.

Fielding and pitching is more difficult but I get through the next half inning with only 2 runs given up. The scorer is 4-2.

Next inning while batting, I get based loaded again and score 8 straight points.

It seems for me at least, that hitting is alot easier with the AI SLIDER up moved a bit and everything else left at PRO DEFAULT.

Is there any real solution or answer as to why it seems easier on the "harder" levels.

This is probably a good question, for those who have messed with sliders.

A better repharsement of what I just said could be, Is this just a weird hitting coincidence.

I havce never had BASES loaded before on PRO, in about 15 games played, but I do it on my first LEGEND game.

AI sliders are just one part of the overall difficulty. If you change the overall difficulty BEFORE the game (can't do it during) you will see a bunch of other options change as well: pitch speed, batting cursor size, etc. Those, in addition to the AI sliders, make the game harder. Just the AI sliders by themselves won't make hitting that much harder (although pitching will get a lot tougher). The difficulty in hitting mostly comes from the cursor size and the pitch speed.

Perhaps the "problem" isn't with the game itself.
The game is probably messing with your head because you chose to play with the sorry-arse Mets.
Just kidding.
However, you'd have a great experience playing with the Astros.

Here's another theory I've heard going around. Some say it's easier to hit on very fast pitching than on Fast. Something about you basically not having enough time to "over-adjust" the cursor when in very-fast thus taking away balls you would've missed or hit poorly if you would have had a little more time to mess things up. Kinda makes sense...I guess.
