if there's someone from acclaim actually listening...please make the cpu harder...and harder for a reason. i want the fastball i miss right down the middle to be...rocked (basehit, double, hr, whatever) at least half the time. i can chuck fastballs down the middle for the whole game and i bet the cpu would not score more than 4 runs on me. i want to feel like i'm winning b/c i'm carefully pitching. i want to feel like i really set up the cpu outside for the K with the inside fastball. in order for that to happen, the cpu needs to be able to rock a pitch that say...i throw 3 times to the same location...unless they're overpowered with a fastball or something. but a major-leaguer RARELY gets overpowered by the same pitche 3 straight times...or even different pitches for that matter...to the same location.

i want the cpu to be able to take advantage of EVERY curveball thrown in the middle, b/c that happens in real life. i want the cpu to pick up on a first pitch fastball after a couple of hitters and pound the next first-pitch fastball i throw. hell...i'm a programmer...it's like...building a strategy for the cpu...like...a chess program...that recognizes things and does things in certain situations...it's really just a whole bunch of flags and conditionals in a baseball game for cpu batting. please...i want to get rocked not only b/c my pitcher is having an "off-day", which happens so seldomly anyways...i want to get rocked b/c me, as a videogame player, is pitching poorly...in this game, it feels...beyond my control...i want the cpu to have clutch hitting so that when i get out of a jam, i feel a sense of accomplishment as opposed to the cpu popping out everytime they get some runners on base. i want to feel like i was an idiot for daring to give bonds a strike and giving up a 2-out 3-run homer as opposed to throwing him some balls with an open base and go after the next hitter. I do not fear a SINGLE hitter in this game. i pose a 1.80 era in my franchise. i'm 20-4 so far with the giants. I've never given up more than 4 runs. I'm the giants...who arent great, and will by no means post anywhere near a 1.80 team era, nor should any team ever do in the majors.

to sum it up...i want a challenge.

Hey ASB Man how about widescreen support and 480p mode? Do you know if these are being worked into next years game? Love the game but It doesn't take advantage of my plasma or Hdtv resolution like WSB does. Thanks

if this game would get rid of the horse riders crouch on defense, put a variable changing schedule, and let you choose the ages for created players.....this game would be freakin perfect.

it is still a great game but those changes would make a huge difference.

Is there going to be a PC version this year? I have to have mobility for my baseball gaming (I play on a laptop). I really would like to play this game! My conclusions from the boards is that this is the best baseball game to be released this year!

please fix the gameplay...I want to enjoy everything this game has to offer but the gameplay gets in the way.

please alter the batter/pitcher interface......look at everyway possible to improve it.

ditch the cursor....it is time to put it out of its misery...

improve the fielding and ball physics engine....the vacuum effect has to go.

You are so close to baseball gaming perfection...all that is holding you back is the game engine.

Good to hear that the schedule thing will be fixed next year. I for one was dissapointed this year with this. I was hoping they would have a random schedule in franchise mode. MVP 2003 has it, WSB 2K3 at least has the home and away games alternated each year which gives it a different look but I can still see how this could become repetitive.

The one thing I like with ASB 2004 is the future stadiums. This adds tremendous replay value to the franchise mode.
