    Unrealistic lineups?

Does anyone else have unrealistic lineups? I don't know but my teams don't seem like they'd never happen. I don't have alot of power hitters, hardly at all. But It makes me feel like I'm sort of cheating with my Brewers team. One of my friends told me my team had too many superstars. Is this a bad thing?

Here is my lineup and bullpen from ASB 2004.

    1. Rickey Henderson CF
    2. David Eckstein SS
    3. Geoff Jenkins LF
    4. Tony Clark 1B
    5. Steve Cox RF
    6. Mark Johnson 3B
    7. Delino DeShields 2B
    8. Mike Matheny C
    9. Pitcher

    My bullpen is .....
    1. Ben Sheets
    2. Glendon Rusch
    3. Jose Lima
    4. Kenny Rogers
    5. Nick Neguebaurer

So far I'm 18-12 with them. Is this team too beefed up? I don't think so, but I was just wanting to get your opinions....

Any team with Delino Deshields cannot be considered beefed up.

Tell your friend to define a "realistic" lineup. I mean to some people, having a low OBP, 40 HR guy leading off is ********, but it works for the Yankees, to some, having no ligit 40+ HR threat in your lineup is dumb, but the Mariners have it. To some, having a combined sub-100 HR's from your infeild is laughable, but the Braves are probably going to do it.

Your the Brewers and your 18-12...something is working for you.

I think my friend just meant I had alot of what he considers "big name" players. Who were once good in their day. Personally I like using older veteran players.

ya my team is old. only yougn players i have really are luis castillo, kendall, burrell, and clayton in the field. thome is good at 1B. but RF is Reggie Sanders, CF is Kenny Lofton, and 3B is lowell. DH is David Justice. in any expansion team i create i always make room for sanders, justice, finley, and lofton. maybe ron gant if i need him. or tony clark if i need power.

                            A realistic lineup is:

                            Speedy Guy with contact
                            Contact (sometimes speedy)
                            Best Hitter #1
                            Best Hitter #2
                            GUy with some pop
                            Guy with some pop also
                            GUy with contact
Guy who can at least get on in front of the pitcher

Of course the AL is different.
