    Expansion Stadiums

I am about to start a new season with an expansion team, and before I draft I want to get some info from you guys. What is your favorite expansion stadium and why? I need to know some pros and cons before I decide which stadium to use. I will draft my team according to the strenghts and quirks of each park. Thanks in advance!

I haven't played in 3 weeks, so I don't remember much. I can tell you that taking the stadium tours helps immensely. The narrator usually tells you what to focus on in your draft. Plus you'll get a feel for the stadium.

The 2 domes are different. E dome has a big water fall in CF that is in play. I guess you have to clear the water fall to get a homer.

The Z dome has very small dimensions 313 LF, 265 RF, and 365 CF with a 60 foot tall wall in CF. It's a homer fest here.

Drubel County has a sweet old school brick wall and some pretty hefty dimensions.

Fishback (i think) is the one with the "Clear Monster." Its a giant clear wall in rightfield.

I wish I could assign these stadiums to other teams cuz I want to play in all of them!

My team, the Arkansas Fury, play in the Z Dome.

            Mailman Field

            1. retractable roof
            2. Looks like and older stadium because of the columns coming down

Do a stadium tour of it, pretty sweet

Something I realized about Fischbach field is that it's the Ballpark in Arlington, but reversed (rightfield is leftfield, and vice versa), and without the business concourse out in centerfield. The 'clear' monster, an addition from last year makes in hard to hit the ball out to right-- and having played two seasons with a managed-only expansion team I know it isn't a hot-bed for homers.

I think the Whitaker Grounds is unique, and fun. A little like Tiger stadium.

I haven't played in the others to know enough.

i like Wirthchace. has a retractable roof. messed up outfield. with the wall zig zagging in and out all over the place. its a pitchers park.

also like mailman. deep center field so if you have guys with speed you could pretty easily get a triple there. tall walls in right field and low walls in left. retractable roof again.

side note. with my new franchise the Vancouver Varmints i play in Mailman. Jim Thome hit a HR into the uppder deck in RF and then the next at bat he hits one that hit the top of the video screen in left. he also added a 2nd decker in that game.
                    Teams:

                    NFL - Packers & Browns
                    MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
                    Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
                    NHL - Wild

Thanks guys. I like the sound of the Z-dome, it sounds like you could jack some HRs there. Keep those posts coming, some valuable info here!

The Mac is okay, fairly deep dimensions. The park is good for pitchers and speedy players. Whitaker Grounds can give you homeruns than what a normal stadium because of it's overhanging second deck.
