Why can't I edit my created player?

I created Horacio Ramirez and signed him to the Braves, but when i go the edit players screen in my franchise, the list is empty. what's up with that? is this a glitch?

Created players have to be in the free agents to be able to edit them. I don't know why, seems odd to me. Just release him to the free agents, edit him, and then resign him.
