Is CPU better offensively on Veteran level?

I haven't tried it extensively because I played most of the first 60 games of my franchise on All-Star... but I became pretty skeptical of my so-so pitching staff (Indians) routinely allowing so few of a number of runs and hits during outings, no matter who the opposition would be. Sabathia was leading the AL with a 1.37 ERA, and my staff ERA was under 4.00 (keep in mind that this includes simmed games, because had I played all games I most likely would have an ERA atleast a full run less than that.)

Anyways, I moved back down to veteran and tweaked my batting interface to zone (w/ normal pitches) to maintain a challenge and the lowly Tigers had 18 hits off me, scoring 4 runs and nearly beating me.

18 is alot different from what I'd be allowing up to that point.. but it's only one game of course. I usually play all sports games on the hardest level so I didn't give it a 2nd thought to play on allstar level... but it seems the difficulty is only on the human hitting side, because the cursor is smaller.... pitches don't move any faster or differently (I play on normal) and the CPU sure doesn't score anything. It's a hell of alot harder to get strikeouts (4-7 being about the average per game) because the CPU doesn't take many pitches, and hits just about everything it swings at (lots of foul balls though.) Unfortunately, alot of what doesn't go foul are just routine ground outs, pop ups, and lazy fly balls..

(Yes, I pitch with all of the aids, strikezone, and cursor off and always have)

I know several other players who play on all star level have shared the same complaints.. has anyone else noticed a significant difference?

I play on Veteran and the scores seem pretty realistic. I don't check the hot/cold zones when I pitch either.

At times, my ERA may be a tad bit too good but I seem to get realistic scores. I've won plenty of 6-4 games, 8-3, even had a 17-1 win. Just seems there are a tad too many 2-0 games. I still got about 94 games to go so we'll see how the season ends up.

I have been saying this for awhile now. The CPU is better offensively on veteran than on allstar.

On All-Star, They get a lot of hits on me, but they also score a good amount of runs. I've had a few 2-0 games, but I can't complain when my pitcher is doing his job, and so is the other team's pitcher. Sometimes it happens
