    Austin Kearns

I'm playing as the A's in a franchise. I would like to get rid of some of the scrubs on my team and throw in a quality player for Austin Kearns. The Reds have designated him as a Franchise player.

Have any of you been able to pry him off the Reds and if so for what?

Dont know if this helps, but Kearns may be close to impossible to get if all your offering is a bunch of scrubs.

I play the Reds in my franchise, and just for kicks, i simmed ahead a few seasons, and let me tell ya, the AI really thinks highly of Kearns. In fact, in 4 simmed years, Kearns general rating was 95+, one of the highest in the game at that time.

    Good luck.

Yea they have already dubbed him a franchise player. I'll have to make them a good offer or settle for Dunn.

I was offered a Griffey Jr,Dunn for Chipper Jones deal last night. I took that action.

I tried to offer up to get Matsui from the Yanks.... they were having nothing of it... lol

I kinda feel like i'm cheating when I try to get players of quality off of other teams, but hey, it's MY franchise, and I'll deal for whoever I want...

It's kinda hard to take away the great players from other teams without giving up something good in return. In trying to get Kearns....they are willing to give him up if I give up one of the ace pitchers on my staff. I don't want to do that...so Kearns is out of the question.
I just love the young exciting players. Dunn is a good deal though cause he's being paid 3BP this year and he's good good pop.
