I'm not saying his information was wrong. I'm saying that it was wrong the way he based it. He would just go off of things he heard around locker rooms, or accuse people he thought were juiced, and then spin it into stories where he acted as if he was some big part of certain people's steroid abuse, and could personally verify it.

Lots of guys can write a book simply off of things they heard around the locker room, it doesn't make them factual, and it doesn't give that person credibility.

you just basically agreed with all who are anti-steroids. You hit the ball FARTHER but it didn't affect your HRs ?

After using ur PEDs, I'm sure you still hit a ball that barely made it out and that ball would have been a warning treack shot without your roids....

so no, it's not only for show, it's cheating because you have an advantage that other players don't have.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that caught that. "Steroids didn't help me hit more HR's, they just allowed me to hit the ball farther."

        LMAO.

To be completely honest, I think MLB should apologize to Canseco .

Canseco looks like a freaking genius.

Canseco is not noble, he didn't blow the whistle because he cares. He blew the whistle because he wore out his welcome in the game, he wanted to hit 500 hrs and no one would touch him. So just like a jilted lover he bad mouthed the game and all of those in it. Just tell me why I should lightened up on this clown.

              Canseco juiced=

              Canseco without the juice=

I never said he was noble. I just said that he was the only honest one of the bunch when everyone else called him a liar and full of it.

He was honest when is career was over, and when he could make a buck writing a tell all. How honest is that?

Re: Should people lighten up on Canseco now?

For what it is worth, anybody who gets the Biography Channel, there is a documentary on Canseco and what he is/was going through. I watched it and it was really interesting.

I am of both minds on Canseco. Growing up, he was my favorite player. On one hand, I think of him as a snitch and scumbag. On the other, I am glad that he has proven to be truthful (even though I hoped he wasn't at the time) about the names who have used. It is the slow start of bringing integrity back to the sport.

On the subject of records, I am probably alone in saying that all of these guys should keep the records, and all should be in the Hall of Fame. My reasoning is that while cheating is wrong, there have always been cheaters throughout baseball history. The one caveat that I would enshrine with the player though, is to have them/their plaque labeled as a steroid user/steroid era.

That is still honest and still more truthful than A-Rod, McGwire, Palmeiro, etc.

I don't think Canseco is the best person but I think the rap he gets is a lot worse than it should be. It's almost like MLB started a hate Canseco bandwagon a long time ago and people have jumped on without knowing any of the facts.

If you were blackballed like that and you knew several other superstars were cheating what would you do?

                        I agree.

They did that to Canseco to tarnish public opinion on him, because MLB knew they had the skeletons in the closet. And now it is coming out with the contracts signed to be hush about the roiders.

MLB is corrupt, and Selig is the ringleader.

What about those times you flew out at the warning track. Hitting the ball further would kinda help then right? This post just didn't make any sense.
