Re: The official [Was/is he on Roids?] game thread

i think everyone is a suspect and up for debate. i could care less, but the thing that keeps pissing me off is people like mike golic saying "come on gang, it wasn't illegal in baseball at the time". BS. it was illegal in society, by default wouldn't that make it illegal in baseball?

Manny Ramirez. The dude has gotten huge since he has came into the league. The only difference between him and some of the other juicer's is his diet. The dude is a lard *** but he is still really strong.

            Ill start with:

Albert Pujols, was he on roids?
NO to Pujos.....He just seems like one of those natually husky dudes

Sheesh talk about covering all the bases maverick!

Anywho I asked about Berkman because Alan Ashby who is the radio color voice of the Jays used to work for Houston and still lives there. He's close friends with Berkman and he strongly believes Berkman is clean. Berkman made a comment in the media saying how everyone is guilty by association and no one is ever going to believe guys who say they're clean.

BTW Maverick, Lansford was in Oakland during the Bash Brothers era so I have a feeling he might've tried it once at least.

I'm a huge Cardinals fan but I would lean towards Pujols juicing. I hope it's not true but I at the same time I'm not naive.

Randy Johnson - Yes. I would say he was juicing late into his Seattle days, and early on in Houston/Arizona. Stopped some time after being dealt to the Yankees.

Carlos Beltran - I just can't see it. He only had one year where he hit for big time power numbers and that can be attested to hitting behind a hot Delgado. He's more of a 5 tool guy who's game revolves around speed/defense. Doesn't fit the M.O. of a juicer.

Johnny Damon - I would also say no. Although, wouldn't surprise me if he did, especially in his Oakland days.

Darryl Strawberry - Steroids no. Amphetamines & Cocaine, a resounding YES.

Here are some I always suspected...

                  Jeff Bagwell
                  Brian Jordan
                  Rich Aurelia
                  Steve Finley
                  Luis Gonzalez
                  Henry Rodriguez
                  Jeromy Burnitz

I can go on and on... I was watching the MLB Network the other day (best channel on TV!) and they were giving their "classic games" marathon, which is awesome. I love watching games from the 90s and playing this game. I mean honestly IMO they were ALL juicing.

It might go a ways to explain his longevity and his fastball that he's known for.

He wasn't the first pitcher to pitch into his 40's and certainly won't be the last. Size and or steroids have nothing to do with being able to throw a fastball. There have been alot of little guys who have been able to hit the mid 90's with their fastball. Plus he has lost velocity as the years have gone by not gained.
