Re: Rockies turn a triple play!
What took the GM so long to realize this? Good pitchers become mediocre when coming to Colorado. Now, we need to go after Tejada in a trade as we fight for a wild card spot...

Oh well maybe they'll just back to getting big hitters.

Re: Rockies turn a triple play!
6-3 start....
Not bad, BUT they could be (more like should be) 8-1. They blew a 5 run lead in the 9th at Houston, and in the 1 game they did lose on this home stand they had a man on 1st and 3rd with no outs in the 11th inning and didn't score.
I know I was down hard on the Rockies after that blown lead, but watching these guys there's really something going on here. For one thing they are taking care of business at home which is good. Cruz is 2-0, Chacon has had 2 great games so far (pen let him down yesterday bigtime). Oh, and until they're debacle of an inning in which they had 3 erros yesterday, they WERE the leagues best defensive squad in the early going. The outfield has been showing some spectacular play, and the middle infield with Bellieard and Hernedez is looking quite nice (huge step up from Uribe and Ortiz).
Estalella is healthy and is CRUSHING the ball. Stynes has been a pleasant suprise....another improvement at 3rd base.
Hold on boys, could be a fun ride.
It's early and I'm still skeptical, but I feel much better this year than I have in a long time. Can we stay healthy is the question.
Let's see how we do on the road now after this great 5-1 homestand against two pretty damn good teams.Comment
