Now here's the Ultimate Question:Would YOU do the juice READ BEFORE VOTING

If you ARE a professional baseball player do not answer. This question is for all the joe-six packs (I hate using that phrase now that it's been tainted, IF you know what I mean ) out there.

Here we are living our various lives. Some of us students, working professionals, laborers, unemployed or whatever. What if YOU knew that YOU could take some roids right now and land a 1.5 million dollar contract for a year. What if you knew you could hit pretty good in your local league but if you had some juice in you you could hit passable to land a contract riding somebody's pine would YOU do it right now? You knew that you could throw pretty good but if you had the juice in you there's a possibility you could throw enough to sit in somebody's bullpen. Supposed you can't do anything right now but you took this year out of your life and figured out what you are good at in the sport and then the possibility to juice that up could land you a contract would you do it?

I'm not saying put yourself in someone's else place, I'm talking about YOU and your position right now. If you are physically able to play the sport (ie have all your arms and limbs and eyesight etc. etc.) and could get in shape (if need be) and all you would need is that juice and you could land a contract would you do it?

EDIT: And don't bother asking "Do you mean I could do it and get away with it." Or what if's. Whatever happens happens.

No. The juice puts your life @ risk. & I'd rather live than be rich.

Cheating doesn't give a person a true sense of accomplishment. If I did "the juice", I'd always wonder what I could've done w/o them

I wouldn't do it. I just worry about random stuff too much. I would never have the courage to try it. And, to be honest, I've always been OK with that.

So you think right now you could possibly make a team. I mean YOU you.

No. I'm happy with my life as it is and 1.5 MIL isn't enough for me to possibly do long-term damage to my body.

If the contract was 1 year for 10MIL or higher, then we're talking.

Re: Now here's the Ultimate Question:Would YOU do the juice READ BEFORE VOTING

Obviously if I was good enough I'd be a pro ball player; the question was if I could land a major contract would I do the juice and my answer would be no. I don't really have to answer to anyone but God and myself and that would weigh on my conscience too much - I was brought up right is right and wrong is wrong now matter how it's sliced.

A lot of the "integrity issues" with the game is because of a lot of "character issues" with the players; the Cal Ripkens and Tony Gwynns of the game are gone and we now have class-less players like Manny & Sheff (when he was back in LA as well) selfishly manipulating things for their own personal good.

I think I'd pull a Gary Matthews Jr. Juice up for your contract year and magically go from a career nobody to an All Star at the age of 32, sign a $50 million contract, then get off and go back to being a career nobody while sleeping on piles of $1000 bills.

You said " If I did "the juice", I'd always wonder what I could've done w/o them" so a logical thinking man would assume that you think you can possibly play in the bigs. I don't need to "wonder" what I'd do without them, I wouldn't be able to do squat and I know it. Thats why I asked.

**Sarcasm noted:wink:** So, if you were on juice and actually succeeded fairly well - you wouldn't have that same question?

HELL NO. I smoke and drink my behind off and I'm hitting 40 harder and faster than a mother. NO DOUBT it would be the roids.

I'm not a doctor and anything's possible but I highly doubt that if he did it for a few months to get a contract and stopped he'd cut his age expectancy down to 45. lol How come I got a feeling you're in your 20's. Everyone in their 20's think 40's and you're walking with a cane. LMAO
