    MLB Extra Innings

Im just curious to find out when does directtv let you order MLB Extra Innings.

I checked their site http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global...ssetId=3180002 and on there it says to check back later.

Has anyone received MLB Extra Innings and if so, when can you order it?

    Thanks

I think I initially ordered it 2 years ago and I believe I did it the day the season started. I would imagine you probably can't order it until early to late march because they will inevitably begin some promotion for signups around then. Once you order it though, they just automatically renew it every year unless you call and tell them not to.

I have not been billed yet for it but expect to be billed soon.

They dont show any spring training games or anything.

I am an annual subscriber, and I get my first charge on my Directv bill every March. I believe that is when you can first subscribe to the package because they offer an early-bird deal that takes $20 off the normal price.

I just started DirecTV back in the fall, so this will be my first baseball season with it. I've always had all the Braves games through cable in the past, I'm curious to see what all I will have now with DirecTV. If I don't get them all I would get MLB Extra Innings, but I know I'm in the blackout area for the Braves, so I don't think that would do me any good.

I use MLB.TV...There's nothing better than watching a game on the laptop while playing a baseball video game.

For the first time in about 5 years I am passing on Extra Innings this year.
Fox Sports Ohio already shows all of the Reds games and that I all I really care to watch.
Add the Reds games to the games on ESPN, TBS, WGN, and MLBN and I dont see the need to pay for more games.

I'll go ahead and tell you Peachtree TV is channel 651. The channel is black until about 15 minutes before game time then it comes on with the Directv logo and music until exactly when the game starts. Then after the game ends and they go to commerical sometimes they cut the channel off before the final wrap up where they show the final stats. I really hate that. That's the only bad thing about it. I remember I only missed 1 game last year and that was the first game of the doubleheader against the Mets in May that was on Peachtree TV. Directv didn't turn the game on till the 7th inning. Really pissed me off because it was the best game Glavine pitched all year and I didn't get to see it.

Yeah even if you have the Extra Innings pack, games still can be blacked out if you are in the local market and they don't meet the requirements to lift the blackout. Also last year they added both home and away feeds for the games. But if you have a local team you only get the local feed, the other feed gets blacked out.

That's cool. So you were able to see all the games except that one? That'll work for me.

That's cool that Extra Innings has both home and away feeds. I get that with NFL games on Sirius radio and it is always entertaining switching between the feeds on big plays.

Yep that was the only game I missed. If you have Directv and you get SportSouth then you get Peachtree TV. It's the same broadcast areas.

What is your opinion of MLB TV? I am considering that as my package this year as I can watch the games in multiple rooms and at work (Cubs day games).

My concern is that the NBA computer package was terrible. I know the MLB computer package has a higher tier option so hopefully it is better. Thanks for any info you can pass along.

I've had MLB.tv the past two seasons and have not really had any complaints. This year looks to be improved with the change over to flash. I think the "DVR" stuff will probably be gimmicky. Until DISH gets EI, it'll be MLB.tv for me

Does Extra Innings come with any kind of other programming other than just airing the games? Or is it just like NFL Sunday Ticket where it is games only?
