My problem with Timed Hitting is if you swing at a ball just outside of the strike zone, you will miss it every time. Realistically I should be able to reach for pitches and still make contact (i.e. foul one off when behind in the count; hit and run situation).

This being said, I am currently switchingback and forth to see which one suits me better.

Sometimes I wonder if you even play this game. Timed swinging works perfectly with pitch location. I don't get how you could have this problem, unless it's your timing, which wouldn't be the timed hitting fault.
be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.

No, I don't play this game, those rosters at Action Replay are just a figment of everyone's imagination

Let me rephrase my comment for the sensitive:

IT SEEMS LIKE balls that are outside of the strike zone are impossible to hit on Timed Swinging. It may just be me on timed hitting, or my perception of the close pitches I am missing. Just my OPINION.

As for your comment about timed hitting working perfectly with pitch location. If that is true, why, when in replay mode, do pitches that I hit low in the strike zone appear to come in at the letters? It shows me hitting the ball, but with the bat and the ball meeting in the upper part of the strike zone, yet when I check the 'Last Pitch', it shows a low strike.

And just for the record, what else have I said that makes you wonder if I have ever played this game?

Well, this proves to me that you've played the game. I've often wondered about this as well.
