Why is it so hard to get strikeouts

Im having a tough time striking these guys out i mean even the pitcher always makes contact. they never swing anything outside so i cant really offbalance them.

I have no problem getting K's. Mix it up. Change speeds, work the corners, inside and outside..

I average 5-9 k's per game with my Braves pitchers. For example, here's a typical pitch scenario with Maddux...Sometimes I start with a curve or changeup low and away, then 2nd pitch I run a cutter on the inside middle of the plate, and third pitch I sneak a slider in the back door (low inside corner) and a lot of times I catch them looking. 3rd pitch is also effective as a curve or a changeup.

I also use sinkers low on the corners, if my pitcher has them. It's a great pitch to induce a double play. I average 2-3 double plays lately with Hampton.

I know it's hard... I know how you feel dback... it's frustrating. I asked asb_man if they could make striking out guys easier like last years game. Even though I mix it up, they'll make contact with the last pitch.

this is awhile ago and i no longer use this person or team for that matter but i had a created pitcher with the ephus, knuckle, fork, and sinker. ok i gave a homerun on a EPHUS to the PITCHER!!!!! that is just not right. we all no pitchers suck at hitting except a for mainly mike hampton. i mean come on. that is impossible almost. my last game though i had no K's with ben sheets but i brought in Matt Kinney and he struck out 3. if they are cold up and in i either throw a slider, changeup or curve. then go with fastball away or changeup away then a fastball down and outside. thats how i got the strike outs with kinney.
            Teams:

            NFL - Packers & Browns
            MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
            Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
            NHL - Wild

It is indeed very difficult to get K's but I am getting better at it. I have had a few games with 8, which isn't much, but it's pretty good for the game. It works pretty good to save a pitch or two for the next time you face a guy. For example, the first time somebody comes up, don't throw him your changeup. Then if he comes up again, get 2 strikes on him and more times than not the change will surprise him and you get the strikeout. Good pitches with 2 strikes are: High fastball, curveball just below the strike zone on the right or left edge, and low slider going away from the strike zone.

Well, I got worse, I've started out with getting 5-9 K's with a couple of 10 K's in the first 9 starts, then after that, I'm lucky to even get 3 K's by my starter.
