what the hell are you talking about? Of course it makes sense. If the guy is new to the boards then it is quite possible that he is not familiar with all the gaming "lingo". Obviously if someone has been visting these boards for a long time they will know what sliders are, so by the same logic, someone new might not know. What's the problem?

I've got your back on this one. In this particular situation I'd say that the logic makes sense.

I could have 1000 posts, but I may not have a sports game with sliders in it. I knew what sliders were before I first came to this site. It has more to do with familiarity of a gameplay option than how many posts someone has. Some people have over 500 posts, that doesn't mean their posts are more credible---they could be nothing more than a "fanboy."

guy, if you have a 1000 posts, regardless of whether or not you actually own a game with sliders, chances are that you will know what they are because you will have come accross threads discussing them, where it is very obvious what they are. It has nothing to do with credibility or fanboyism, get it?
