    Pitch Count

How high do most of your pitch counts get? When I started to get realistically high pitch counts that just led to trouble, so now that I've started to take advantage of my relievers that has led to low pitch counts, pulling starters around 50 or so.

Also how many Strikeouts do you usually get per outing?

Wow, 50?? I usually let my starters (assuming the aren't getting rocked) throw about 100 pitches or until there stamina is low yellow. I can get about 7-8 out of them depending.

Depends on the pitcher, but I get about 7-8 K's with guys like Kris Benson and Kip Wells, but 4 or so with Josh Fogg and other guys who don't usually strike many guys out.

My last two games Brown went for 9 Strike Outs 72 pitches in a full game shutout. And Perez went about 6 innings 45 pitches before I took him out because he was getting killed. I guess I'm gonna have to work on my pitching to get the pitch counts higher and more realistic.

If your pitch count is 45 thru 6 innings and your getting rocked then your probably throwing too many strikes. Try to get ahead and then try to paint the corners and stuff like that. I usually get 5 or 6 strike-outs a game on average.

I know in ALL previous versions of HH pitch count actually had no effect at all. Pitchers stamina was based on batters faced not pitches thrown. I dont know if this has changed. 3DO's reasoning behind they felt some users threw too many strikes which would result in extremely low pitch counts...
