My runners stop at first by themselves, on a rare occation they will make an attempt for 2nd, but this has been very very rare.

    *confused by this*

lonnier, what team do you play with? I'm curious if there is a team setting in a .dat file that will make runners more aggressive.

Snepp: I wonder if your run to first button is the same as your swing button. If so, that could be it. Last button press recognized by CPU tells it what to do. I'm quite sure it is NOT my imaginatrion, as I have been nailed countless times when I forget to stop the runner.

            Snepp,
I think I've got it figured out. I was not using the advance/retreat button on the gamepad. I just started playing the game and didn't realize that you had to stop the runners with the "8" button. Thanks for your help. I think I am going to get a Thrustmaster gamepad like you suggest. I just don't like the feel of the gamepad pro. Thanks for all your help.

I get nailed all the time on bunts. Runners on 1st and 2nd, I bunt and the runners don't advance. Ack! Gotta get that down.

in that situation you have to bunt towards first base to get them to go

I use a thrustmaster analog pad, 1 million buttons to use and I use every single one of them. I don't have more than one command mapped to any single button. My runners will make the turn at first, stop, and then go back to first without touching anything.
